Our favourite toy at the Here Gallery is this Mechanical Music Box Set

The mechanism reads music from holes punch in paper scrolls. This set includes one pre-punched scroll (that plays 'happy birthday'), plus 3 blank scrolls, a hole punch and full instructions.

The music box measures 5 x 7cm (2 x 3 inches) not including the handle. It also has screw holes, so that it can be fixed to a wooden box for amplification, although the sound is quite loud and clear when held flat on any table.

The paper scrolls are printed with the treble stave, just punch a hole where the note would be written. They can be linked together for longer pieces of music, or spliced into a loop for continuous play. Extra strips of paper are also available seperately.
